The Lithuanian guests held a meeting according to the program of the International scientific conference under the auspices of NATO “Cooperation between Ukraine and Lithuania in terms of the Russian threat” on May 14. The event took place in “Arnica”.
Another meeting with the Lithuanian delegation took place on May 16. At the beginning the first pro-rector Anna Ersteniuk acquainted guests with the material and technical resources of the univervitety, its mission and prospects of development. In turn, foreign delegates spoke about educational process at the Lithuanian university of Health Sciences which takes a leading place in the country.
The dean of the faculty of postgraduate education, professor of the neurology clinic Kestusis Petrikonis expressed a wish to cooperate with our doctors and scientists.
The head of health psychology department of the Lithuanian university of Health Nida Zhemaytiyene described the training program for health psychology masters. This profession introduced a few years ago at the Lithuanian University.
The presentations of foreign colleagues caused spirited debate and great interest. Education and training of recreation therapists especially interested our scientists.
The Lithuanian delegates were also at the department of military medical training, emergency and urgent medical care and in the anatomical museum. A draft cooperation agreement between IFNMU and Kaunas Republican Hospital was also prepared.
